When you look back through art history, you see how deeply fertility and womanhood have always mattered. In Greek and Roman mythology, goddesses like Venus and Demeter were celebrated as symbols of creation, love, and life itself. During the Renaissance, artists returned again and again to the female form, painting motherhood, pregnancy, and the Madonna as sacred, powerful, and worthy of reverence.
Women were not shown as fragile, but as strong, life giving, and deeply meaningful. I have always been drawn to that way of seeing, how art honors the act of creating life as something timeless and beautiful. Motherhood is a season worth slowing down for, honoring, and remembering in a way that feels honest and meaningful.
HOW I PHOTOGRAPH MOTHERHOOD:
- My approach to motherhood sessions is rooted in simplicity, intention, and connection. I guide you gently through poses that feel natural and flattering, while leaving space for quiet, in between moments to unfold. These sessions are not about perfection, but about honoring this season as it truly is. I focus on soft light, thoughtful composition, and subtle details that tell your story in an honest way. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, seen, and beautiful, and to walk away with images that feel both artistic and deeply personal.
